The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, general administration, developing internal communications and coordinating various HR programs and initiatives.The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, general administration, developing internal communications and coordinating various HR programs and initiatives.

 

Responsibilites

 

  • Provide end-to-end support with the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities
  • Prepare written email communications and other internal documents for distribution to associates as well as proof-reading communications prepared by other team members as required
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of HR initiatives
  • Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and recognition programs
  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of HR-related training and development programs
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing reports, creating MS PowerPoint Presentations for the HR department, and responding to general inquiries
  • Co-ordinating HR departmental meetings
  • Assist with various HR projects as required
  • Stay informed of changes in HR policies, procedures, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a professional setting
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma majoring in Human Resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with associates at all levels
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to make process improvements
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-service oriented mindset
