Description

Software is the key enabler for an inspirational customer experience in the Digital Car. CodeCraft is the high-performance state-of-the-art Software development platform for the development of software for electronic control units (ECUs) in infotainment, autonomous driving, and other fields. Therefore, it is mission-critical for Software developers as well as external suppliers. Based on a distributed, hybrid cloud infrastructure, CodeCraft provides high-availability scalable services for Continuous Integration as well as agile Project Management.

In a next evolutionary step, we aim to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into CodeCraft to further boost functionality and performance.

What awaits you?

  • You take on responsibility for bringing Artificial Intelligence into CodeCraft’s service portfolio. This means you identify, define, evaluate, and pilot use cases in the context of AI-based tooling together with our users.
  • This includes both incorporation of commercial off-the-shelf solutions into our portfolio and adapting AI solutions to our needs (e.g., training a customization layer). In addition, you evaluate if existing services will be “upgraded” with AI-based features.
  • You assess relevant factors in the decision whether those solutions will be incorporated into the CodeCraft product portfolio as new services.
  • For new services, you take on end-2-end responsibility – i.e., definition of strategy and roadmap, management of vendor and service provider, ensuring efficient operations based on our SLAs incl. continuous monitoring/ alerting and improvements processes (e.g., optimization of the architecture together with the base services team) and introduction of MLOps principles.
  • The definition of migration concepts for the onboarding of running projects and standardized configurations for new projects are part of your responsibility.
  • In cooperation with our IT partners, you realize highly automated deployments for cloud infrastructure solutions to ensure high-availability and scalability as well as integration into existing BMW IT solutions.
  • Based on the prioritization of our portfolio, you also cover additional topics of CodeCraft’s offering, e.g., integration of security into the Software development service.
  • To ensure optimal usage of the Service by users you provide building blocks/ best practices for common use cases and advise in the implementation of specific requirements. You actively drive and implement blueprints, best practices and templates matching both user requirements and harmonization strategy.

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field.
  • Profound experience in Artificial Intelligence, Software development and IT operations, e.g., Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Security, Service-/Cloud-Architecture, Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience in automotive Software development projects and processes.
  • Experience in development, operations and maintenance of high-availability solutions is a plus.
  • High degree of user centricity and a strong motivation to push topics to implementation, together with a high degree of responsibility and focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Business-fluent German and English.
