Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Group/Internal Reporting, HC (Head Count) & OpEx (Operating Expense) planning, and for data quality validation for the Financial Services division. This includes the submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly actuals; preparation of monthly internal reporting packages; support with the local consolidation and annual Internal/External Audits. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and planning of the company level OpEx (Operating Expense).

 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Responsible for the submission of monthly / quarterly / yearly actuals, including disclosure requirements, and validation of weekly RRCM data. Submissions are expected to be done within deadlines set by HQ and with high quality.
  • Responsible for the monthly / quarterly / yearly HC/OpEx actual and forecast reporting into HQ appointed tools/systems on time and with high quality.
  • Responsible for handling questions and inquiries from HQ regarding submitted data.
  • Responsible for analysing OpEx actual results, monitoring the overall company OpEx budget, leading the OpEx planning process, identifying potential cost saving measures to improve the operational efficiency.
  • Support the reporting automation process and create/maintain relevant tableau reports.
  • Review and assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Provide guidance on chart of account issues and interpretation of accounting standards with respect to accounting transactions.
  • Coordinate with accounting team the guidance from IFRS, eGAAP and HQ Reporting Instructions to fulfill the reporting requirements.
  • Ensure corporate guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Assist with HQ, regional and local projects as required.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Accounting/Finance function.
  • Industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience dealing with accounting issues under both IFRS and ASPE.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, logical thinking, and proven analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Tableau is preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, results-driven with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong self-learning aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
