Description

BMW Financial Services Canada is looking for a Compliance & Governance Intern for 12 months in the Compliance department.

 

Key Accountabilities of the Function

  • Support maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) meeting all internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Manage and update the Compliance pages for the Associate Intranet.
  • Support the operation of the Corporate Governance Framework: policies & procedures oversight, and committee management.
  • Support monitoring & testing of compliance related controls.
  • Support regular compliance communication and awareness campaigns towards associates.
  • Support implementation of compliance processes and tools.
  • Support regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to local management and central functions.
  • Support compliance related projects as needed.
  • Support the execution and maintenance of the Vendor Management program in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Support in the Compliance and Governance training execution as required.
  • This position may take on additional duties and responsibilities, should the need arise.

Qualification

 

  • Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on business
  • Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on business.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
