What awaits you?
• Strategically select and evaluate potential suppliers for e-mobility components, ensuring alignment with our stringent quality requirements.
• Lead comprehensive 360° assessments to identify and develop the capabilities of our supplier network.
• Implement proactive quality checks throughout the supplier nomination process to mitigate potential risks.
• Develop and manage supplier partnerships, guiding them towards achieving our high quality standards and optimizing their production processes.
• Drive successful ramp-up (industrialization) of production for assigned components, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with suppliers to define critical quality characteristics (CQs) and reliability indicators, fostering a shared understanding of success.
• Proactively identify and resolve quality issues related to the manufacturing process. Document all corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Guarantee parts availability to meet production demands and key milestones for BMW project launches.
• Guide suppliers through pre-production (SOP) with expertise, ensuring a smooth transition to full-scale manufacturing.
• Partner with suppliers to identify root causes of problems and implement sustainable solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers, project teams, and management, providing timely feedback to optimize collaboration.
What should you bring along?
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years' experience in industrializing suppliers for High Voltage Battery components or a similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest technological generations of Automotive High Voltage Batteries.
• Expert understanding of injection molding processes and the chemical behavior of polymers used in High Voltage Battery Modules.
• 3+ in automotive manufacturing quality processes, component expertise, and relevant part technologies and processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality and project management principles.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and issues efficiently and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel regularly (potentially weekly) for on-site supplier collaboration.
• Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving and project management.
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and a commitment to working effectively in a multicultural environment.
