  • Plans and implements hardware and systems such as: Predictive Maintenance concepts, Smart Maintenance concepts, Systematic solutions with IPS-I related hardware/software, CoC
  • Digitalization topics and others within the Assembly Maintenance Department that improve process and equipment reliability. Collaborates with CoC Digitalization as well as other internal BMW teams and external suppliers.
  • Partners with other plant technologies to establish committed collaboration of projects and results.
  • Evaluates concepts with technical and financial focus and drives necessary changes according to the BMW Group standards. Determines the optimal solutions with regards to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and environment.
  • Ensures all innovation equipment and systems are capable of meeting or exceeding the Assembly Department uptime target.
  • Ensures successful project management, including project definition, targets, competencies and the transfer of knowledge, plus proper documentation delivery from the original equipment manufacturer, including a complete purchase parts list.
  • Manages budget for sub-projects and/or implementation tasks. Communicates activities, processes, and results to departmental members on a regular basis.

 

Qualification:

 

  • BA/BS degree (Engineering preferred). OR AA/AS degree in a related field AND 2 years of work experience in an innovations related role. OR The equivalent of 4 years of work experience in an innovations related role.
  • 2+ years of experience in Predictive Maintenance, Controls, PLC, Systems, Automation/Robotics, Profinet, Profibus, E-plan, or SEW Drives, (automotive conveying and process equipment preferre
  • 2+ years Software installations, troubleshooting and programming to programs such as Siemens S7, Siemens TIA portal, IFM, Janitza, ethernet networks, TCP/IP, PC hardware trouble shooting, etc.
  • 1+ years Project Management - Business Administration skills: planning, budgeting, time management, scheduling.
