Production Steering Intern Assembly (Spring 2025)

Description

Support the team in the regular planning and reporting processes for cost, headcount, efficiency KPIs and line balancing. Improvement / development of tools / systems for planning, reporting, and steering processes.

 

  • Supporting the team to execute tasks to carry out plan/target comparison, assessments, analyzes and quantify deviations.
  • Develops preliminary proposals for the optimization of business processes.
  • Supporting in evaluations impact for changes in volume, model mix and shift models and makes recommendations for required resources for Assembly operations.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Communicate or present accomplishments and achievements at the end of each semester.
  • Improvement / development of tools / systems for planning, reporting, and steering processes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree in a Business related discipline (Finance/Accounting preferred)
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products strongly desired
    Knowledge of German preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Organized.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Engineering degree (preferably electrical, computer, mechanical, or industrial).
  • Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, PivotTables, etc. preferred).
  • SQL Programming / Coding experience preferred.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTATCH AN UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • The work term dates for this position are (January 13th – Mary 16th 2025)
