Description

This is a co-op position which requires commiting to three rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: Fall, 2nd rotation: Spring, 3rd rotation: Summer).

 

The Project Management & Parts Integration Co-op will support the Parts Integration Specialist (IPT) and the Project Manager with launch related activities of current and upcoming Plant 10 Projects.

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

 

  • Maintain milestone plans, content overviews, and other planning documents related to project launches.
  • Generate the parts integration status presentation regularly.
  • Troubleshoot parts availability issues for upcoming prototype vehicle builds.
  • Arrange and steer relevant project meetings.
  • Optimization of current BMW processes & tools using Oracle APEX.
  • Improvement of prototype build list management (i.e. VBA).
  • Development of future BMW systems and/or KPI dashboards.

 

Qualifications 

  •  Industrial Engineering, Data/Business Analytics, Logistics/Operations Management, Business, International Business
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (experience in Excel/PowerPoint, VBA).
  •  Preferred previous Programming Experience (VBA, Matlab, R, Python, SQL etc.)
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently.
  • Effective and professional communication skills.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Must commit to three co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
