The Gen>NEXTer will be a part of the Technical Planning/Engineering team and work alongside the team members in different projects and areas during this rotation. The Quality Engineering team will be working in the manufacturing and production process for new products and car models to deliver Premium Quality products to our customers. Main objectives will be to support existing vehicle Production processes as well as new model industrialization. Other tasks may include, but not limited to: product and tool design, project management and timelines, innovation and digitalization, excel macro and other programming tasks, process cycle time and adherence to targets, quality management, metrology methods, and others.

This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: Fall, 2nd rotation: Spring, 3rd rotation: summer).

 

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Concept and Development of process quality targets and production line design.
  • Participate in Design reviews of new model tooling.
  • Support industrialization of new products and production equipment.
  • Process evaluation for overall Production output – cycle time and availability.
  • Project management and supplier management.
  • Working in both new launch and existing vehicle projects.
  • Work in innovation and digitalization topics for the Technical Quality Planning Department.

 

Qualifications 

  • Engineering field: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Problem Solving / Analytical skills.
  • Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • MS Office knowledge required.
  • Basic CAD knowledge (preferred Catia).
  • Preferred but not mandatory: Excel macro, Sharepoint, Apex, etc.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions. 
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE JANUARY 13TH - MAY 16TH, 2025.
