This is a co-op position which requires commmitting to three rotations (e.g. 1st rotation: Spring, 2nd rotation: Fall, 3rd rotation: Summer). 

 

The Prüfcubing process uses a specially machined car body to evaluate the buildability, geometric fit, function and overall maturity of interior and exterior parts during and after a new model launch.  The Prüfcubing is a highly visible part of a new model launch and works together with several departments including Development, Assembly and Supplier Quality.

 

Primary responsibility of the Prüfcubing Process Co-op will be to support all facets of a Prüfcubing Loop including planning, hardware preparation, problem documentation, and root cause analysis.  After each loop, the co-op will support the Product Integration teams, following problems identified in the cubing though the problem-solving process.

 

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the in the following functions: 

  • Prepare parts and tooling for the day's build.
  • Validate the quality level of the parts delivered for the Cubing Loop.
  • Clear and concise documentation of the defects found during the Cubing Loop.
  • Containment tracking for critical defects found during the Cubing Loop. 
  • Vehicle fastener commonization project.
  • Prüfcubing parts inventory system project.
  • Prüfcubing event dashboard project.
  • Prüfcubing event livestreaming project.
  • Prüfcubing event problem documentation automation.
 Qualifications 
  • Pursuing degree with Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Preferred German language skills.
  • Preferred experience with CAD software.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Must commit to three co-op rotations. 
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university. 
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE 01/13/2025-05/16/2025
