This is a co-op position which requires committing to three rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).

 

Ready to dive into the world of prototype vehicles? Here in our team, we get to immerse ourselves with in-depth analysis of all the electrical components packed inside BMW's X models. By utilizing powerful testing equipment and exercising our complete understanding of both the hardware and software in the total vehicle, we are able to play an integral part in the exciting process of delivering these cutting-edge vehicles to the consumers. We help perfect these vehicles that, upon release, will relentlessly push boundaries and set new standards for innovation in the industry. 

 

We're the go-to squad for any electronic hiccups throughout assembly. We emphasize problem-solving to ensure that everything about the vehicle electronics runs smoothly. We help reinforce BMW's world-renowned reputation of excellence by prioritizing quality, functionality, and most importantly, the customers' experience with our product.

The Co-op should expect to support and improve the following:

·Familiarize yourself with the functionality of both the hardware and software of our vehicles

·Support in the testing and debugging of prototype vehicles’ electrical components

·Assist in electrical component test preparation, the testing procedure itself, data collection after testing, and the interpretation of results

·Build upon your theoretical knowledge and apply creative solutions to real world problems

·Freedom to create and develop software solutions to optimize processes

 Qualifications 
  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Engineering
  •   Relevant interests would include learning new programming languages and data analytics software/programs
  •  Passion to learn about electrical engineering concepts, vehicle architecture and communication
  • Willingness to learn on the job and acquire hands-on experience
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Must commit to three co-op rotations. 
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  •  Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  •  THE WORK TERM DATES ARE 01/13/2025-05/16/2025
