Description

 

Support in planning and realization of manufacturing and production equipment for a next gen battery production line

 

  • Supports the standards and best practice of the controls technology and ensures alignment with the BMW central functions.
  • Evaluates concepts with technical and financial focus and conveys necessary changes according to the BMW Group standards.
  • Collaborates with internal customers and external suppliers for the planning and realization of project measures.
  • Develops the optimal solutions in regard to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and environment.
  • Supports in providing cost estimation (invest and budget), technical specification and request for quotes.
  • Supports planning and realization of complex projects and adheres to the financial budget.
  • Communicates with Controls team as well as management on major project milestones and developments.
  • Support in development and implementation of countermeasures to improve controls equipment reliability in a timely manner.
  • Support in ensuring all equipment controls design is capable of achieving uptime targets.
  • Obtains and shares best practice solutions within the BMW Group network.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS Degree, Industrial Engineering (preferred) or similar engineering degree. Organizational & project management skills
  • Strength in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (January 13th – May 16th, 2025)
