What awaits you?

  • Build-up of the new laboratory at Debrecen: planning and purchasing of laboratory equipment as well as implementing the analytical measurement instruments according to health, safety and environment standards.
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of complex investigations and problem solving of materials (e. g. in the field of corrosion protection, paints, automotive fluids and adhesives) and components (both metal and non-metal) as well as event-oriented, process-related problems.
  • Sampling and sample preparation, interpretation of results and appropriate recommendations documented in comprehensive technical reports.
  • Operating of testing equipments in calibration, service and/or maintenance (e.g. corrosion testing, rheometer, color measurement, etc.) and other laboratory equipments (e.g. band saw, cutting machines, etc.).
  • Giving technical and non-technical presentations to management, internal teams and suppliers.
  • Establishing new analysis methods and the continuous improvement of the existing analysis processes.
  • Writing quality and safety relevant documents such as work and operating instructions.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Degree (e. g.  bachelor/Master degree) in the field of chemistry, materials science or a comparable profession, alternatively completed apprenticeship including professional experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in the analytical environment and in chemical technical laboratories is desirable.
  • Established knowledge in the application of different analytical methods, e. g. chromatography, spectroscopy, element analysis incl. wet and organic chemistry.
  • Proficient use of MS Office.
  • Team spirit and joy to work together with people, such as capable of working alone and in a multi-functional team.
  • Enjoy planning and organizing as well as working in the laboratory,  ability to familiarize yourself with new analysis methods.
  • Good presentation and communication skills with an analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
