What awaits you?
- Develop comprehensive qualification strategies for various robots and gantry systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance production efficiency, minimize downtime, and maximize output. Implement innovative improvement measures to optimize the production system.
- Oversee and coordinate control-related tasks within the TEM organization.
- Work closely with maintenance and production teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring long-term sustainability and production capability.
- Create and implement efficient processes to support series production and prepare for new projects.
- Successfully execute projects, including modifications, optimizations, and replacement measures, within budget and on schedule. Manage system suppliers effectively.
- Conduct thorough error analysis in our highly automated environment and implement targeted solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Continuously optimize processes, technologies, and operating points within your area of responsibility to maximize value creation.
- Maintain active communication with counterparts within the BMW Network.
- Understand and apply VPS (Value Added Production System) principles and standard work concepts.
- Adhere to 5S and safety standards.
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on controls engineering, electrical engineering, robot engineering, automotive/automation engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in controls engineering or electrical drives development in the automotive industry or similar, preferably in production, planning or maintenance.
- Proven ability to effectively train and mentor technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English.
