Description

Focusing on critical production equipment, the purpose of this project is to use historical data and introduce other new analytical methods to identify key strategies to avoid failures during production run time. The new methods should be able to predict failures or have swap out strategies based on historical failure timelines and incorporate condition-based monitoring technologies.

 

 

The qualified Intern should be expected to assist and contribute in the following assignments:

 

  • Develop new Concepts For monitoring techniques
  • Using a small team plan implementation of predictive monitoring.
  • Identifying opportunities Ai introduction.
  • Make proposals for the interpretation of big data.
  • Capture and plan all Automation improvement ideas and make plans transparent.

 

Possible Projects & Possible New Skills.

 

  • Put forward proposals to increase technical availability & Use these proposals to track failure reduction.
  • Lean skills in a Manufacturing & Engineering environment.
  • Maintenance Planning Principles and how to apply condition-based monitoring technologies
  • Learn new Engineering Techniques.
  • Understand the processes in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience Exposure to all Levels of the Function.

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • IT programming competence.
  • knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Techniques.
  • Able to communicate to all levels of function.
  • Successfully completed an internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3month period minimum).
  • Be currently enrolled in a master program outside of the US or enrolled in the last semester of a bachelor program outside of the US.
  • Equivalent of 3.0 GPA.
