Description

The Regional Wholesale Body & Paint Manager must execute and support the strategy and business concepts to expand the sales volume through the BMW dealer network in their assigned territory. The Wholesale Parts, Body & Paint Business represents ~40 % of the total parts business of BMW North America. Manage and develop the overall CCRC and Wholesale Parts Business for the related Dealers to increase revenue and profit for the assigned BMW / MINI Region, which includes:

  • Drive Wholesale Parts Sales in respective region.
  • Drive CCRC Network Growth to Dealers and IRF.
  • Drive Collision Parts Sales to Dealers.
  • Promote Insurance Partnerships in the related market.
  • Manage CCRC audits. 
  • Manage and promote ColorSystem sales.
  • Manage multiple dealer communications.
  • Promote and sell BMW Group remanufactured Parts Portfolio.
  • Develop and implement strategies for growing competitive parts business.
  • Drive marketing initiatives/campaigns for related dealers.
  • Manage multiple sales presentations and business opportunity offers during events.
  • Drive multiple sales and incentive campaigns for related dealers.
  • Support, implement, and monitor programs designed to grow BMW dealers’ revenue, profits, and market share in the area of wholesale parts. This is to be accomplished by increasing the sales of original equipment parts, chemicals, and ColorSystem BMW Group products.
  • Work closely with BMW / MINI regional and National teams to develop market specific strategies for increasing BMW Group wholesale parts market share.
  • Field support for all BMW Group Wholesale Parts programs.
  • Manage regional Parts & Wholesale resources to support national strategies and Regional field staff. 
     

Key Responsibilities: 
Management of People: 25 %

  • Manage dealer personnel including General Manager and Parts Director regarding wholesale parts and CCRC sales strategy
  • Manage Dealer own Regional Wholesale Parts Managers
  • Manage Outside Sales Representatives and provide training on the job for Wholesale Parts Manager
  • Manage multiple People during onsite meetings with Vendors, Dealer Management and IRF (Independent Repair Facility) Management

 

Project Management: 35 %

  • Ensure all assigned Dealers achieves sales targets by supporting the BMW and MINI wholesale parts business / sales channel business concepts to expand the wholesale sales volume through the BMW
  • Group dealer network
    • Drive IRF CCRC Network Growth
    • Promote Regional Insurance Partnerships
    • Promote Reman Parts Project on local Market Basis
    • Support market research projects
    • Communicate best practices
    • Create visit agendas, file communication log, and create action plans using BMW NA FMS system
  • Ensure sales targets for ColorSystem are met by acting as primary sales contact for assigned market(s).
    • Work with ColorSystem Technical Consultants to identify wholesale sales opportunities
  • Maintain close communications with BMW NA Aftersales Business Development and Marketing, Regional Aftersales field personnel and BMW group center parts department personnel to ensure a consistent approach to Service, Parts and Chemical business planning
  • Attend National/Regional BMW/MINI parts manager meetings and present Parts & Wholesale Sales Strategy
  • Support the wholesale business by making sales calls to Independent Repair Facilities on behalf of BMW NA to communicate our wholesale programs and incentives to increase sales
  • Strongly Promote overall Wholesale Parts Toolbox to drive Parts Sales Business
  • Reporting & KPI Management
  • Review dealer sales data monthly to identify all negative trends
  • Train dealer personnel on proper reporting to more accurately represent wholesale turnover

 

Analyze and Decide 20 %

  • Analyze the related Dealer Wholesale Parts strategy set up and deviate best practices
  • Analyze the best practices of competitors and decide for best adaption in local market
  • Decide for best local Wholesale Parts Strategy Set up based on overall Toolbox
  • Decide for best IRF CCRC Candidates and consult related Dealer Network based upon

 

Research and Development 10 %

  • Research sales target achievement of local dealer network and develop action plans accordingly
  • Research local market the local Market development based also on Natural Incidents (Weather hence Collision) and consumer needs /demand
  • Development of counterstrategy for local dealer Network with focus on Marketing and Sales activity planning
  • Research local logistic and technical best practice services and develop action plans accordingly

 

Budget Management 10 %

  • Manage the Dealer Wholesale Parts Bonus Payout based on target achievement
  • Manage the related Competitive Parts Bonus Achievement Review with IRF’s in Market
  • Manage the BMW Rewards System requests

 

In support of BMW of North America’s business objectives, this position requires occasional attendance at a BMW office, but this is primarily a remote position.
 

Requirements:

  • Technical Engineering and/or Associates Business degree
  • 5-7 years of Aftersales experience, preference Retail and Wholesale 
  • People Leadership experience of min 2-3 Years i.e. Parts Manager 
     

Preferences: 

  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Other prior sales experience preferred

 

Physical demands or working conditions: 

  • Job requires ability to travel and participate in external events which may involve stairs, uneven surfaces or outdoor exposure. May be required to carry product boxes and set up/break down product displays. May be required to stand extended amount of time during exhibitions and trade shows as position requires.

The pay range for this role is: $57,100.00 - $114,200.00.
 

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
