Associate Technician

Description

In this role, you will perform the below functions:

  • Perform Campaigns
  • Accessory Installations
  • Diagnose vehicle problems
  • Program vehicles
  • Perform Vehicle Repairs
  • Perform Vehicle Services
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections

This position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, hearing, reading, writing, and exposure to variations in

temperature and high noise. You will perform quality inspection and functional testing on each vehicle repaired, to ensure that the problems have been corrected, and that the repair is to BMW Quality Standards. Additionally, perform diagnostic work with assistance, repair work, and functional tests, on BMW Group vehicles following BMW Group repair procedures and quality standards, within the prescribed flat rate times. All work must follow BMW Group Repair Procedures and Quality Standards within the prescribed flat rate times. The Technician is also responsible for keeping time records of repair/warranty work and update all pertinent warranty, repair, and campaign documentation.

 

The pay range for this role is: $41,905.00 - $49,300.00.

 

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

 

Specifics: Position reports to Nathan Norris, Manager VDC. It is Galveston, TX based and is Non-Exempt Hourly. The selected candidate’s Personal Grade (PG) and geographical location will be used as the final components of the salary band assignment. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

 

Preferences

  • Vocational/specialist training in automotive technical field preferred
  • ASE Certifications
  • BMW Technical Associate Level Certification highly desired
