BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – Level 3 Financial Accounting Apprenticeship – 18 months (August 2025)
This position will support the financial accounting team with the analysis and preparation of Profit & Loss, balance sheet, and statistical values to support the monthly delivery of timely and accurate reporting for BMW Financial Services (GB) and BMW Financial Services (Ireland) to BMW Group Headquarters.
What will you be doing?
As a Financial Accounting Apprentice at BMW Financial Services, your key areas of focus will be:
- Bank reconciliations – monitoring, control, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations – ownership of the reconciliation and resolution of exceptions of several balance sheet accounts.
- Preparation and posting of journals within the contract management and financial reporting systems.
- Preparation and reconciliation of VAT postings within the contract management systems.
- Provide analysis for management for unresolved bank suspense issues.
- Support the financial accounts team with monthly reporting process to BMW Group headquarters.
- Support continuous improvement process within department, including documentation of processes.
- Gain specific knowledge of BMW Financial Services financial processes and accounting methodologies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or Grade 5 (or above), including Maths and English.
- Ideal student would have recently completed at least one numerical/business A/AS level e.g. Maths, Economics, Business studies etc

The next stage is a Video Interview. You can complete this at any time of day during your five-day invitation window and you will be recorded answering a set of questions. The first question is just for you to get used to recording yourself and is not assessed. Following completion of the Video Interview, successful applicants will be shortlisted and invited to a face-to-face Assessment Centre with BMW Group. Provisionally, the Assessment Centre is due to take place week commencing 31st March 2025.
