What awaits you:


•    Coordinate all customs-related issues for the production material, non-series material, machinery, and equipment during the ramp-up of the battery production plant. 
•    Prepare and process all import documentation necessary for the customs broker, managing the complete import process to ensure availability of the products in time at the lowest possible cost. 
•    Collaborate with different departments within the plant to ensure all import documentation and restrictions are met. 
•    Track shipments and manage the customs clearance at different ports of entry. 
•    Communicate status, delays to appropriate parties. 
•    Resolve shipment issues and escalate to management for resolution when needed. 
•    Collaborate with the logistics and transportation departments, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies. 
•    Ensure that all legal framework and organizational policies are followed. 
•    Handle all post-entry amendments. 
•    Calculate required funding to process payments of import duties.
 

What you should bring along:


•    Bachelor's degree in international business, foreign trade logistics, or a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, International Relations, Administration).
•    2+ years of previous work experience in import operations and export operations. Automotive industry knowledge is preferred.
•    Proficient in English (fluent spoken and written)
•    Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
•    Ability to work independently.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Knowledge of customs documentation and customs processes is needed.
•    Teamwork oriented.
•    Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
•    High result and quality orientation.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably relevant ERP (SAP).
•    Knowledge in MIC or other Trade Management System is preferred.
