Material Control Series Intern (Summer 2025)

We connect the network with integrated supply chain solutions to safeguard production. Ensuring parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity, and quality for continuous production.
The focus of our department is Material Control, Transportation Control, and Delivery Assurance. We are the Gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine.
The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Steer the internal Gemba process.
- Support the development of supplier Gemba together with purchasing department.
- Support VPS COC to create the VPS target picture.
- Support implementation and development of work organization structure.
- Development of department KPIs.
- Assists with obsolete cost tracking, E/E flashing status, emergency order tracking and analysis.
- Smart Container Management, KPI Dashboards, Data Analytics and Visualization, Sustainability (Reduction of CO2 emissions, e.g. E-Trucks),
- Continuous Improvement Projects, Digitalization Projects, Value Stream Mapping, Part Defect Reduction, Digitalization of Shipments, Robotic Process Automation
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have completed (or is in the process of receiving) a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal and technical skills (experience using Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, etc. is a bonus).
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
