Process Engineer - E/E Technical Planning Assembly Co-Op-Summer 2025

Description

Description: 

  • The Gen>NEXTer will be a part of the Technical Planning/Engineering team and work alongside the team members in different projects and areas during this rotation.
  • Main objectives will be to support existing vehicle Production processes as well as new model industrialization.
  • Other tasks may include, but not limited to: project management, data analysis, process optimization, etc.

 

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Assist in data analysis of production test processes.
  • Participate in collaboration meetings with relevant process partners.
  • Create reports to highlight potential areas of improvement in assembly.
  • Project management and supplier management.
  • Learn and become familiar with current and upcoming vehicle architectures.
  • Learn and become familiar with BMW specific applications used in process planning.
  • Upkeep of test stands used for E/E testing in production.

 

Projects:

  • Working in both new launch and existing vehicle projects.

 

 Qualifications: 

  • Electrical Engineering preferred, Computer Engineering/Computer Science and other electrical focused program are accepted.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Problem Solving / Analytical skills.
  • Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • MS Office knowledge required.
  • Basic understanding of coding concepts (conditional statements/sequential flow)
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE: May 19th – August 8th, 2025.
