International Electrical Engineering Intern (Fall 2025)

Description-

 

As Intern in this role, you will be assigned a project aligning with the needs to the team to improve processes and or design new processes. These processes will include improvement on vehicle diagnostic analysis, vehicle data analysis and vehicle production analysis in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) of our most advanced vehicles. You will be assigned a project mentor to guide you thought the project setting goals and expectations to be reached by the end of your assignment.

You are expected to collaborate and network to support you project within the plant, BMW development, other plants, as well as other BMW departments. To be successful in this position, you must be curious, willing to learn and develop new ideas, able to balance daily operational tasks while working on projects, have a keen understanding of time management, meet deadlines as requested, willing and able to work in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team environment, and conduct yourself professionally.

 

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Vehicle and project data analysis, creation of processes or tools and basic programming

• Support in analysis projects and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems,

software, and functions.

• Support of ADAS specific testing plans and activities on vehicles, systems, and Components.

• Thorough documentation of results of the assigned project.

• Thorough documentation of the status of the project for further development and use

withing BMIII. Assignment Projects: List possible projects to be completed this assignment

• Use Python or applicable language to develop a new diagnostic interface, reading, and

processing tool to improve the speed of processes and enable efficiencies in analysis and

further analytics.

• Project must be scalable to enable the further development and expansion of the program.

 

Qualifications-

Pursuing a Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Engineering or Automotive Computer Science

Skills: Python and other programming languages, file management, presentation skills.

Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale.

Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.

Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length

Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).

Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.

Work term dates are from September 22, 2025 to March 06, 2026.
