What’s special about working at BMW Group Canada?
The BMW Group brands are incredibly iconic, and therefore have a passionate and loyal customer following. Currently I work on the MINI team, and it is so special working on a brand that makes such an impact on our customers lives. We get to experience this first-hand at events we manage and execute. Speaking with customers at events and seeing them thoroughly enjoy being a part of the MINI Community has been such a rewarding part of working at BMW Group Canada.
In addition, who doesn’t love the opportunity to work for so many great brands within one company! The organization allows associates to move between brands and departments, and therefore provides an opportunity to grow your knowledge and experience across the automotive business.
How did you get to work today?
In my MINI Countryman! I luckily live north of the office and have an easy commute to the office in the morning.
On which project/topic are you currently working? What was your most exciting project?
I am currently working on an exciting net-new platform for MINI Owners in Canada: ‘The MINI Life’. The MINI Life is a portal where MINI owners can explore all perks available to them, just for being a MINI Owner! We have partnered with many like-minded businesses and have launched exclusive and exciting MINI owners offers with each! Being a part of this project from the ground up (truly was just an idea in my brain at one point) and see it come to life has been so rewarding. I am also extremely grateful to be provided the opportunity to manage all aspects of the development, collaborations, and launch, which has been such a great experience overall. Not to mention, it is a great feeling to see positive feedback from our customers! It is one of the many fun and exciting projects we have on the go at MINI (the opportunities are endless).
What surprised you the most or made you the happiest about working at BMW Group Canada?
The overall stability of working within the organization, and the benefits that are extremely valuable to families and family life. Truly second to none.
Please describe your career path within the BMW Group Canada! What has your career journey been like? How has the organization helped with your professional development?
I have been at BMW Group Canada for nearly 7 years. In these 7 years I have worked in the Aftersales department as a Marketing Specialist for both BMW and MINI, and then moved to the MINI Brand Marketing team and have managed all aspects of both brand and retail marketing as a Senior Specialist. In addition, with the ability to work in different departments, and areas of marketing, I have been able to grow my comprehensive marketing experience and learn about different areas of the automotive business (which ultimately allows me to approach my strategies and work more holistically).
