Desired profiles, missions, and onboarding: who better than a responsible intern in charge of recruitment to advise you? Let me guide you with Vaea. In September, Vaea and I will celebrate our second anniversary within BMW Group France. Our positions work in pairs and our missions are similar. The only difference is the scope of our fields of action. Vaea is responsible for recruitment for BMW Finance and BMW Distribution, while I take care of BMW France and Alphabet, which are the four entities of BMW Group in France. What are the different missions that have been entrusted to us? Patience, we'll get to that.
VARIED MISSIONS.
In concrete terms, we manage the recruitment of interns and apprentices within BMW Group in France. We also closely follow their journey within the Group, from their onboarding to their offboarding. In short, we accompany these young recruits from A to Z. But that's not all. One of our roles is to develop and sustain relationships and partnerships between BMW Group in France and various schools. This year, there are approximately 70 apprenticeships available for a start in early September 2024, and 15 six-month internships for a start between June and July 2024.

The recruitment process then takes place in several stages. If your profile meets the expectations of the BMW Group hiring managers for the position, you will be contacted within three weeks for a pre-qualification interview. This exchange can be done through a video interview or a phone call with Vaea or myself. If this is successful, we will then organise an interview with the manager.
THE PROFILES WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
We work in collaboration with all the managers. The objective is to facilitate the entire recruitment process. This translates into numerous exchanges during which Vaea or I encourage them to delve deeper into their thinking to progress as best as possible. Our HR expertise and global vision allow us to analyze the entirety of a profile. We pay particular attention to both the know-how and the soft skills. Finally, it is important for us to assess the level of autonomy of the candidates.
6 MONTHS TO 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
The duration of the apprenticeship is indicated in the job posting. If not specified, it can be either 12 or 24 months depending on the needs of each team. The duration of internships is 6 months, and this applies to all entities.
ONBOARDING THE BMW GROUP WAY IN FRANCE.
As you may have noticed, we don't throw our young talents into the deep end alone. Whether it's for apprenticeships or internships, we provide a one-week handover period between the outgoing and incoming individuals.
Here's how their first days unfold: first, we welcome them and give them a tour of the premises. After providing them with their welcome package, we introduce them to our various internal tools so that they can quickly familiarise themselves with them. Then, their respective managers welcome them and introduce them to their future team. Two months later, we organise an onboarding session with all the new interns and apprentices, not to mention the internal after-work events that help strengthen the team spirit of this community. Finally, we remain available and attentive throughout your journey.
