Main duties.
- Promote, develop, manage, and monitor activities for Corporate, Direct & Special Sales, (CDS) & Used Car (UC) to maximize business opportunities with the support of the Area Managers.
- Implement country specific Roadmap concept and work closely with importers and importers to develop CDS & UC capability through the evaluation of the market, identification of priority opportunities, sales prospect management (customer potential and buying decisions) and customer visits.
- Develop a middle and long range CDS & UC Strategy for importers in alignment with Area Management.
- Monitoring the budget, forecast, and steering the achievement for the share of CDS & UC and sharing insights and management reports on the development.
- Checking, monitoring and supporting the importer claims for the CDS program.
- Development the implementation of the used car full circle process within the region.
- Secure, align and process support from the central/ regional teams for the CDS & UC function.
- Monitor competitor sales actions and make appropriate recommendations for the function.
- Regular dealer visits with regards to CDS & Used car topics. Development of retail sales campaigns for CDS & used car.
- Fully understand the protocol in handling VIP's, Corporate, Diplomats and Government, Royalties, Military, and Hotel/Airline/Rental and Leasing/Shuttle program.
- Determines the corporate sales policy and setup the corporate sales & used car channel.
- Works keeping in mind volume, profitability, dealer profitability, sales expectations, and customer expectations in terms of product substance and price as well as BMW premium positioning expectations/ requirements.
- Deals with increased complexity and breadth of BMW model portfolio and technological innovation.
- Adapts sales strategy and planning to rapidly changing market conditions, which requires constant analysis and recommendations to secure the most optimum combination of sales volumes and profitability.
Qualifications and attributes.
- Bachelor degree in business administration/ economics or similar discipline
- Min. 6-8 years' experience in in a comparable position: Automobile industry, car dealership, fleet management/lease companies, used car market
- Demonstrable motor industry experience, ideally in vehicles sales and/or aftersales.
- Strong commercial background with good knowledge of accounting and financial statements (profit and loss account, balance sheet).
- Good knowledge of current relevant IT systems and IT applications.
- Well-developed negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical skills. Results-driven self-starter with strong initiative.
- Business development experience with capability to balance short term - long term development vs requirements.
