Recent Ownership Services Graduate Shirin at the Good wood plant

Shirin first joined the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars graduate programme in 2019 and has experienced exceptional career development. Just eighteen months into the two-year scheme, she was offered a permanent opportunity to be a Sales, Quality and Analytics Manager.

"I spoke to my supervisor about my future, and opportunities that might arise, because graduates can leave the program six months early to secure a permanent position. And that is what happened in my case. This flexibility and opportunity was fantastic."

One of the things that Shirin found most helpful about the graduate programme was the ability to gain experience across departments. This was both interesting and fundamental to developing herself professionally.

“As a business graduate, you need to understand the functions of your entire company. How does the company operate and how does that relate to the rest of the industry? Having this knowledge makes you an all-rounder."

Throughout her time as a graduate, Shirin never experienced the same day twice. The work was always exciting and fast-paced; something that has only continued to be the case in her role now.

"The thing I enjoy most about my current role is that no day is the same. I enjoy managing the different requests you get from the regional teams and tackling new scenarios."
