Specialist Finance: Product Costing
Specialist: Finance - Product Costing and Material Control (FLV)
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Establishing and maintaining accurate costing standards for all locally produced export units.
- Preparing accurate budgets, forecasts, long-range planning, and cash flow projections for export vehicles and inbound/outbound logistics costs.
- Analyzing and reporting on month-end profitability for export vehicles and inbound logistics costs.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and financial frameworks.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Setting transfer prices in line with the Group transfer pricing methodology and tax requirements.
- Monitoring and maintaining the export vehicle invoicing system (SAP).
- Ensuring the Export Vehicle result is compliant with accounting standards (IFRS).
- Preparing month-end management accounts and investigating variances from expected results.
- Calculating and reporting Rebates.
- Liaising with external audit.
- Reporting export vehicle-related financial information to external parties.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for:
- Ad-hoc projects and supporting ad-hoc requests from across the entity.
- Maintaining work instructions, process documentation, and the internal control system (ICS) for your area of responsibility.
- Improving the financial reporting processes and IT systems (digitalization) within the function.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- B. Comm/ Compt. Honours in Accounting with at least 5 years' experience in the automotive industry (CA(SA) or CIMA advantageous).
- Export SAP knowledge (FI, CO, MM).
- Technical Accounting knowledge (IFRS).
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively deal with senior management and external parties.
- Ability to handle varied tasks concurrently without losing sight of the main objective.
