Debrecen, Hungary. Creating a healthy working environment and maintaining the health of employees is a top priority for the BMW Group. This is why the BMW Group has also made it a priority to establish a high-quality health centre at the BMW Group Plant Debrecen as soon as possible. The Health Centre, which is currently temporarily housed in a container building, started operations on 1 June 2022.
High quality healthcare at the BMW Group Plant Debrecen, even before the start of production.

Prepared to provide a wide range of health services, the Health Centre is equipped with the most modern occupational health equipment available. The personell who operates the centre are constantly improving its services in coordination with health facilities in factories around the world. Led by Dr. Hajnalka Tamás Szabóné and supported by assistant Enikő Tisza Horváth, the Health Centre offers a wide range of occupational health examinations, travel advice, health programmes and vaccination campaigns. From February 2023, more healthcare workers will join this department of the Debrecen plant.
The Health Centre team will work closely with the Occupational Safety and Health Department to set up the first aid points in the new factory, organise the ambulance service and design the final health centre. The facility will also provide general health services to BMW Group employees who are coming from abroad.
The already employed staff of the BMW plant in Debrecen, which will start production in 2025 with a team of around 1 500 people, will be involved in a number of programmes serving the local communities during the construction and preparation years. In this spirit, the BMW Group has also introduced a global initiative to strengthen the social commitment of its employees and their involvement in the community, known as Social Week. Dr. Hajnalka Tamás Szabóné and her colleagues also organised blood donations at the Health Centre and gave a lecture on first aid and the use of defibrillators at the Tóth Árpád High School.
