The BMW Dual Apprentice Programme is an apprenticeship programme that partners with Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC) as Brassai Sámuel Technical Vocational School, Mechwart András Vocational School, and Beregszászi Pál Technical Vocational School. The program allows students in electrical and automation engineering, mechatronics, automotive mechatronics (systems and high-voltage technology) and information technology for systems integration to apply for apprenticeship at BMW Group Manufacturing Hungary Kft. as part of the vocational education.
This programme allows students to further their education while gaining valuable experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment with the potential of becoming candidates for full-time employment at BMW Manufacturing Hungary Kft. after successful completion.

In September of 2023, the first class of the BMW Group Plant Debrecen apprentice education started in Debrecen. In the Training Centre, the first building of the BMW iFACTORY of Debrecen, the students can learn in 6500 m2 and after graduating from the apprenticeship, they will have to opportunity to build a career at a leading premium car and motorbike manufacturer. BMW started the first apprenticeship programme 100 years ago. The experiences collected from all these years are built into the training of the pupils, they can get first hand experiences with robotics, 3D printing and Industry 4.0. During the education, we put great emphasis on the soft-skill development.
The following years, every year, we will select 100 new students form our partner schools, and as a result, from the year 2025, 300 students will attend our apprentice training. During the seven-day selection process, first we’ll test the problem solving and logical abilities of the applicants, then, their dexterity and professional competences and finally, we have an informal conversation, to get them known personally.
